The Basics...
Name: Koleira
Age: 12, 603 years.
Gender: Female
Race: Dragon
Occupation: Flying terror of the night! Er, none.
The Look...
Clothing Style: Dragons don't go for clothing - not that any would fit. Her own scales are armour enough, but she can sometimes be seen adorned with whatever jewelery she has dug out of her hoard: for special occasions, she drips with gold, gems and bronze. A personal favourite, though, is a bronze torque that she occasionally wears around one of her forelegs, as well as a number of gold and copper rings on her numerous horns and spikes. Finding an appropriate time to wear them, however, is much harder than acquiring the trinkets.
Overall Appearance: Koleira is beautiful the same way a sword is: she isn't the kind of dragon to have people drop to their knees in awe of her bright scales or majestic form. However, any warrior would admire the dull brass scales, never catching any light so as to not give her away if she is hidden, or the serrated claws that, while not as elegant as smooth-edged ones, can do so much more damage. As spikes and horns go, Kol has a multitude of them: four horns on her head, with two arcing backward and two which more resemble a ram's pair, growing downard and then curving forward. Rather like a rhino's horn, there is a spike on her muzzle, and the collection of sharp pointy things doesn't end there! No, the usual trail of spikes follow her spine, as well as a nasty surprise on her tail. Rather than having a simple club of bone, or an elegant spade-tip, her tail tip consisted of a thicket of long, slim and most importantly sharp spines.
Her wings were designed to enable flight, of course, but they are just as dangerous as the rest of her. The membrane is a dark shade of gold, usually taken as brown unless hit by direct sunlight. The veins that run through her wings are tipped with long spikes at the end, also able to cause many a nasty wound. She isn't extremely slender or sturdy, achieving a compromise between speed, endurance and strength. Her eyes are a disconcertingly bright gold.
Markings: Koleira has a few scars here and there, but the most noticable is one long notch on her right foreleg, caused by one memorable fight with a swordsman. A swathe of scales on her shoulder is paler than the rest, the remains of a duel with another dragon. A few arrowheads can be found embedded in her scales, if one looks close enough.

The Personality...
Personality: Koleira is not known to be the nicest dragon around. Though her kind isn't known for its compassion, she is hardly easy to like. Reveling in violence, bloodshed and intimidation, she switches between the efficient, emotionless killer and the bloodthirsty and cruel beast who toys with its prey, depending on who she's facing. Most of those who she bears grudges towards have the latter - and with her age, she has a lot of grudges. Alas, the list of faults continues. Kol has a sharp tongue and enjoys rousing others to anger.
Such a violent creature, yet not leaning to one side or the other, and more dangerous because of that unpredictability. She cannot stand losing her free will and is as jealous of her personal space as she is of her hoard. Most other beings are viewed with distrust, or as food - or, if you're particularily unlucky, both. Oddly enough, she can speak clearly, though she chooses to distort it with rumbling growls and snarls. Kol hates others pitying her, and adopts a stoic attitude to try and ignore pain, which usually causes quite some trouble later when she finally realizes she's badly hurt.
Strengths: She can fly, is exceedingly good in battle, espeically in the air, and can breathe fire. The spines on her tail, as well as the hard scales, let her use it as both a whip and a particularily lethal mace.
Weaknesses: She is heavy and is slow-moving on land. Her wing membranes aren't very tough and the veins in them are important: a serious injury there will cripple and might even kill her. When angered or particularily bloodthirsty, she won't stop to think and ignores many wounds that could prove dangerous later.
Likes: Fighting, the smell and taste of blood, hunting, bright and expensive things, music, flying and worthy rivals.
Dislikes: Weaklings not worth the effort to kill, not being given respect, thieves who are after her hoard.
The Past...
History: Dragons are solitary, and Kol's family was no exception. Soon after she hatched, her father left - where, she didn't know. Her mother stayed to teach her survival skills, as well as passing on a love for fighting. The first few hundred years of her life were stable as she explored the skies and grew. When she was around 600 years old, her mother also left. Koleira didn't hear of her for a long time, but paid no mind to what had become of her parents, settling on establishing a territory, acquiring a hoard and so on. Then, when she was still half grown, the first warriors, hoping for glory and triumph and ridding the world of an abomination, attacked. She made several mistakes in that first battle - and the first was to not kill the very last one. She ended up being hounded for a good few years, and eventually left the area to find a new lair. It was only two thousand years later when she, rather annoyed, flew back and torched the town that had taken over her former territory.
She did a good amount of burning and raiding in her early years, goaded by anger - whether it was from the news of her mother's death, an archer that had tried to aim for her eye and missed or simply someone who had looked at her the wrong way. Also, whenever she met a dragon, she usually ended up fighting; territory, gold and reputation were important to her back then. Then, it all changed. The White Witch came and sealed Narnia into a winter that lasted far too long, and Kol found herself holed up in one of her lairs, irate at having to hide lest the White Witch try to take away her freedom or worse, turn her to stone. The cold made her lethargic anyway, and she ended up sleeping away most of the Witch's reign - or at least, until the world shook. Aslan's return, the crowning of the four children - she didn't bother leaving her lair, and skulked around, pillaging those that had decided to celebrate too soon for her liking. Later, she flew to the Lone Islands, keeping to herself and trying to avoid catching the attention of the seemingly blessed monarchs.
When the blessed monarchs disappeared, she breathed easier: those favoured by Aslan would most likely have the upper hand if it came to a fight. When the Telmarines came, she reveled in flying over cities, striking terror into the hearts of the people and destroying as much as she could. Once war was on the horizon though, she retreated again. Koleira lived like that for many years: in times of peace when she deemed no one a threat, the dragon would soar over cities and destroy as much as she could, before taking herself elsewhere, finding new targets to burn. Once Caspian regained the throne - though she wasn't very interested in what had been going on in the first place - she took to destroying only small villages and towns, not killing as often as was her wont. Though, once she felt the tension singing in the air when she took wing, she delighted once more. She had enough of standing by - this time, she would have fun with whoever was fighting.
