The Basics...
Name: Jadis
Age: Ancient, older than Narnia itself
Gender: Female
Race: Sorceress of Charn, at least part Jinn
Occupation: Self-styled Queen of Narnia
The Look...
Clothing Style:
Jadis' style is one of simplicity, yet remains regal. In general, everything she wears is a white colour, often with undertones of blue or greens, as the White Witch must match her title. These colours are expressed in such garments as dresses, stoles, and even her headpiece. Her dresses are long and flowing, often sleeveless, with a wide neck. For fabrics, she has always worn fairly simple patterns that were reminiscent of ice and snow, her trademark. Though unaffected by the cold, she wears a fur stole, made from the fur of some unlucky creature that offended her. As for her headpiece, it is made of ice, and melted when Aslan brought her first reign to and end. Nonetheless, she created a new crown, much like the previous one, with many tall spikes like upside-down icicles. When it comes to shoes, she cares very little what she wears. As long as they are white, she is fine, as her dresses are always long enough to cover her feet.
Battles change things. She may be an immortal, but she does to wish to be injured or slaughtered. For such dangerous occasions, she chooses to wear a dress made of chain mail, though still with bare arms. It, too, is extremely long, and fitted to her slender body. During warmer battles, such as the one when she was first defeated, she wears a gold headpiece, and the fur of a golden creature, such as Aslan's. She carries a long, thin sword, with which she is very skilled.
The most important part of her outfit is her wand. After her last one was destroyed, she fashioned herself a new one, though she is not as taken to turning people into stone as she was last time, perhaps because her powers are weaker. It, too, can be used as a weapon, as it is very sharp and thin. After Edmund broke her first wand, she has become very protective of it, making sure that such a thing might never happen again, for it leaves her quite vulnerable.
Overall Appearance:
Jadis is a very striking woman. She is not human, as is made obvious by her immense height - over seven feet - and incredible strength. She has been known to pick people up as if they weighed nothing, and is a highly dangerous fighter. Many men have described her as the most beautiful woman they have ever seen, though it is a terrible, cold, dangerous beauty, one that she often uses against such men.
Her skin is paper white after having eaten the silver apple that rendered her immortal. Her hair, once red, is nearly as pale as her skin, and tends toward the blonder range of hair colours. It is a mass of dreadlocks, often tied up into a mass behind her head or left hanging over one shoulder. Her eyes are the blackest shade of black, contrasting vividly with her skin, hair, and clothing. Her eyebrows, barely visible against the white skin, are thin and arched, her nose sharp and almost pointed. Her face is very angular and cruel, and her lips are not the type to tend towards a smile. She is incredibly thin, and not only in body. Her arms and legs are quite skinny, her fingers thin, yet strong, and her neck quite long.
Markings:
Jadis has no tattoos, piercings, nor scars.

The Personality...
Personality:
What might be expected of the White Witch, the Queen who brought the hundred-year winter, the woman who was returned to life by a drop of Adam's blood? Cold, brutal cruelty. It might be described as callousness, uncaring, for this Witch has no heart. If she does, it is merely a heart of ice, for there is not a drop of caring within her. Whether her best general dies or merely a lowly soldier, she cares not. The only thing that she "cares" about is herself and her quest for ultimate power - and the defeat of Aslan, of course. She revels in death and destruction, and has a particular taste for torture. Any sort of pain in others brings a twisted pleasure to her, perhaps because - as it is rumoured - she feels no pain herself. As cold as she is, it would be surprising indeed if she felt much at all.
This coldness and cruelty is even more dangerous in the hands of one as dangerous as she. Some consider her insane, as she is prone to sudden changes in emotion. Indeed, she is at least mildly unstable, particularly when dealing with those who threaten her power, such as Aslan and the Pevensies. Anger is the hardest emotion for her to control, but otherwise she is usually extremely well-controlled, to the point of utter calm. If one is to anger her, though, she will not hesitate to punish them, sometimes to a greater degree than seems necessary. In contrast, she spares the lives of some who have served her particularly well, though they only get one more chance, ever, and she will have them terminated.
It is only her great ambition and strength that keeps her from falling into the pit of insanity, particularly after her time in the afterlife. Jadis' thirst for power was not quenched at all - in fact, it is stronger. Just as her ambition is stronger, so too is she. Her magic took a some time to recover, but her inner strength and resolve never wavered. She would defeat the Pevensies and the great Lion. She has learned her lessons, and learned them well. While a tinge of fear remains for the Lion, she does not fear the power the Pevensies have, as they are now a broken lot, well past their time, and partially in her control. Jadis is absolutely ruthless when dealing with the four siblings, to get her revenge on them for her death those 1300 years previously, though she does owe Peter a slight debt for bringing her back.
One of the things that seems to have worsened with time is her pride. She will not accept failure in any form, on any front. It is fortunate, then, that her intelligence did not wane any in her time away from the world of the living. As well as being a formidable fighter, she is also a great strategist, something that allowed her to win many battles in the early times after her return, when she had few followers. Now, though, she has little to fear, as her followers outnumber the pitiful resistence by a great deal, and so contents herself by hunting down the two remaining Pevensies, a task that is at once frustrating and enjoyable to her, as she enjoys a good challenge. She knows that it is only a matter of time until the girls fall into her hands, and so does not stress herself just yet.

The Past...
History:
Little is known of the past of Jadis, sorceress from the world of Charn. She destroyed all the life on her world just so that her sister could not take her power from her, and in doing so, destroyed Charn. At some point after this, Digory Kirke and Polly Plummer stumbled upon the destroyed world and awoke her from her long sleep. She convinced them to take her with them, as her world had nothing left for her to rule over, and they did so, bringing her back to their own world, Earth. After some time wreaking havoc upon that world and trying to take it over, she was accidently brought to Narnia, a world that had yet to be born.
It was that world, she decided, that she would take over. After stealing the silver apple and eating it - giving her immortality - Aslan banished her from Narnia so that the world could grow. Displeased with this, she spent her time plotting to get her revenge on the Lion, a way to rid him from the world. It might be long in coming, but that revenge was wanted greatly.
It took hundreds of years before Jadis could return to Narnia, and when she did so, she sprung her plan. Using her magic, she put the land into an eternal winter and declared herself Queen of Narnia. Many flocked to her banner, particularly the wolves and the black-bearded dwarfs. But others resisted, and so she used her wand on them to turn them into stone. It was not long before she controlled the entire land, with the few who resisted her in hiding or turned to stone. But then came a prophecy, one that claimed that two Sons of Adam and two Daughters of Eve would come to claim their rightful places and Kings and Queens of Narnia.
Jadis, now known as the White Witch, grew frightened that her power would be taken from her, and so sent her armies to hunt every human in Narnia. Many of them fled to Archenland or other countries, but Jadis continued to worry, particularly when she ran into one young boy one hundred years into her eternal winter. He quickly fell under her spells, and told her that he had a brother and two sisters, something that excited her greatly. For this must be the four that the prophecy spoke of! She convinced young Edmund to bring his siblings into Narnia, and while he didn't know it, it was so that she could kill them.
Unfortunately for her, Edmund didn't do a particularly good job. She was forced to hunt down his three siblings, all the while the land grew warmer. Her winter was ending, and it was all because of the hated Lion: Aslan. And yet, when Edmund betrayed her for his siblings, she knew that she had a way that she could still win, by killing the boy as the deep magic demanded, in payment for being a traitor. To her pleasure, Aslan made an exchange: he would take the place of the traitor. As she planned on killing the four children in battle anyways, this worked wonderfully for her.
Though she didn't know it, that was a mistake. Aslan was killed on the Stone Table, and she took his mane for a mantle during the battle, to show that it was she who was the most powerful.
"Kill them. Kill them all."
It was to be her last order. She led her army into battle, her troops severely outnumbering those of the Narnians'. It was impossible that she might lose... until Edmund broke her wand. No longer could she turn her enemies into stone at a whim, and so she stabbed the boy in retaliation, hoping that she would at least get some of her justice. Nonetheless, she fought on, fighting Peter, the little prince, and almost killing him.
This was where things went horribly, terribly wrong. Aslan had not died, or had been reborn. He had come with more troops, and they were slaughtering her army. And Aslan.. Aslan himself had come for her. She knew, right then, that she had lost, and accepted her fate as she was killed...
But this was not the end. Immortality had been granted to her through the eating of the silver apple, and it seemed that resurrection was very possible. All that she needed was one drop of the blood of a Son of Adam and she would be freed from her dark, ghastly prison. For years, she tried, but it was not possible. Hundreds of years passed as she waited in the afterlife, waited until she found the one who would bring her life back.
Ancient allies of hers, a hag and a were-wolf, attempted to do with young Caspian, but she found herself stopped first by Peter, and finally by Edmund. But she had learned something new - the Pevensies were still around. Revenge would be sweet, as soon as she escaped. It had been a near thing - both Caspian and Peter had been very close to giving her the blood she needed, and she knew that they would if she was given another chance.
That chance came a mere few years later, when Peter attempted to rescue a young lady of whom he seemed fond. Through betrayal and a little bit of magic, she managed to get some of his blood and found herself completely restored. Quickly she returned Narnia to its eternal winter, while allies of old flocked to her once more. Swiftly, she took control of Narnia, capturing both Peter and Edmund. With Aslan apparently gone, Jadis knows that few can withstand her power, especially not the two Pevensie girls. It is only a matter of time until she finds them and captures them as well.
