Stars shining bright above you Night breezes seem to whisper "i love you" Birds singin' in the sycamore trees Dream a little dream of me
Say nighty-night and kiss me Just hold me tight and tell me you'll miss me While I'm alone and blue as can be Dream a little dream of me
Stars fading but I linger on dear Still craving your kiss I'm longin' to linger till dawn dear Just saying this
Night had cloaked Narnia, enveloping it in its dark embrace. The stars glittered like diamonds in the heavens, smiling and laughing at some silent joke. All of this was enough to make the tiny fairy giggle. She was finished with her dreams, all except one. She had to visit the true sword smithy to see Raine Moore, deliver her dream, and then she would be free to do as she pleased for the remainder of the night. Now she rested on a bare patch on a tree, having brushed away all the snow from the bark so she could sit. Her little wings were frozen solid. Sniffling, she turned and began trying to break the ice without damaging her little appendages.
She appeared to be no taller than a small dagger, but her little form was illuminated by a gold light, which made her stand out fairly well. Humming, she tapped her wings as she continued popping the ice. Sighing, she strained to get the ice from the bottom portion of her wings. Grunting, her tiny face blossomed red with fury. In her frustration and struggle to crack the sheet she became elongated and heavier and the branch that her bottom was perched on snapped and the petite girl fell to the snowy floor.
Not only was her bum bruised, but it was now probably soaked and definitely cold. Sniffling, she brushed off her midnight blue gown and twitched her wings. Giving an impish grin, she giggled when she saw the remains of the ice fall to the snow. Hovering a few feet in the air, she twirled, looking down her back and seeing her blue, bare feet. Wriggling her toes, Erulassë decided they were fine. At least, she didn't feel anything. Humming to herself, she remained spaced out and oblivious of the approaching being.
Sweet dreams till sunbeams find you Sweet dreams that leave all worries behind you But in your dreams whatever they be Dream a little dream of me
Stars shining up above you Night breezes seem to whisper "i love you" Birds singin' in the sycamore trees Dream a little dream of me
Sweet dreams till sunbeams find you Sweet dreams that leave all worries behind you But in your dreams whatever they be Dream a little dream of me
Yes, dream a little dream of me

Post by Princess Albena of Calormen on Jun 30, 2009 12:12:43 GMT -5
(OOC: this is supposed to be taking place when Albena went with her father and brother to form an alliance with the witch) Albena;; Was snow all this land had? The Princess was used to the warm climate of Calormen, where it rarely snowed, and so she had not exactly been thrilled when they had arrived to blankets and blankets of ice and snow. She hadn't really liked the Witch either; the woman gave her an eerie feeling that sent a shiver up Albena's shoulder. However, a feeling of accomplishment ran through her body, seeing as she had managed to stand up to Rokus and they had formed the alliance with the Witch. Albena had gotten quite bored being she had no say in forming the alliance; a walk in the woods perhaps would occupy her. She had been warned not to stray too far, but the Princess was a royal and had no need to listen to anyone but herself and her father. Night had fallen; maybe that was why she had been told not to go too far; you never knew what ran through these woods at night. Albena would not let her guard down and made sure to be aware of her surroundings, as well as listen to any noise that came to her ears.
She grabbed her cloak and ventured out into the snow, her boots making a crunching noise from the snowy ground. The Princess noticed the stars up in the sky, glittering with little hints of shimmer like gold. How beautiful they were! She wondered if these stars were visible from Calormen; if they were, could it be possible her mother was viewing them now as she was? Albena missed Iskra very much; did the Queen miss her too? The Princess had always been close with her mother; even though the girl was nearing thirty, she had not forgotten the love Iskra had given her as a child which had molded her into the girl she was today. Even though the Princess had a love of all nature, she missed the flowers in her garden at home that were not available here; mostly roses in particular. Albena thought of a rose as similar to her little sister Yana; it was certainly beautiful, but it had it thorns which could prick you and cause a cut.
As the Princess walked through the woods, a sound of what was like a giggle came to her ears, causing her to become curious. Albena closed her eyes and followed the sound to its source with her ears; was it perhaps one of the creatures that lived in these woods? The girl came to what seemed to be a small ruddy light; it was a fairy! Excitement came over the girl as she had never seen a fairy before, only had heard stories of them as a child. It appeared as if she had fallen into a snow bank or some ice from the pieces of ice that were on her wings. Being she did not want to scare the creature away, Albena lowered herself to her knees and put her hands into her lap. In a low voice, she said, "Are you all right? It looks as if you fell into the snow."Word count: 585
