Post by High King Peter Pevensie on Jun 28, 2008 17:27:10 GMT -5
Peter wasn't entirely sure what he wanted in a bedroom. He had no favorite colors, and wasn't in the least bit picky about where things went. So others designed it for him, primarily Narnian staff with occasional tidbits from Peter himself. The bed is of a normal size, for anything too small would cause Peter to roll off, and anything big made him feel uncomfortable. It is lined with a heavy comforter and a series of sheets, which oddly enough is soothing to the young King. A fireplace is parallel to his bed, so he can observe the flames while he falls asleep. Above it is a replica of Peter's sword and shield, made so well he could easily pull them down and use it for protection.
To the right of the bed Peter has a series of windows, along with a small sitting area for him to relax and observe the outside world. There are small, black bookcases with ancient Narnian historys and some simply stories for his entertainment. A chess set sits relatively unused towards the side on the wall with the fireplace, framed by two large chairs with velvet linings.
To the left of Peter's bed is the main enterance door and the entry to his bathroom. There is also a small table used for candles and novels he reads before falling asleep. In the bathroom there is the standard utilities, along with a secret passageway in case of an emergency. It leads down to the stables, past the rooms of his siblings. Peter has never had to use it before, but is thankful for it's existence. There is talk of putting a second escape behind the fireplace, but no one but the King and the room's carpenters is aware if the escape was ever put in or not. His siblings and other Narnian staff are aware of the exit in his bathroom.
