sometimes we rush it sometimes we fall A small smile played her lips, coyly yet amused at the same time. Her eyes twinkled as she watched the two squirls talk, no, not talk... fighting. It seemed to be it was just a small quarrel though, and they were so caught up in it they had not even noticed her watching them, a pleasant and bemused look struck onto her pale features. She could not tell what they were fighting about, since she could not understand, but they seemed to be having their fun time, she could tell. It seemed to be what they liked to do when they were together, like many couples Jasmine knew of. They would bicker, make up, bicker, make up... and so it would continue on for forever. But not once would they mean what they said. It was just something everybody did once in a while, bicker, she'd never met anyone who did not do so from time to time. Enemy, friend, lover or family... it did not matter, one could always bicker over anything with anyone. Or so she had concluded a while ago. Jasmine remained watching the two with high interest, her smile turning into a grin as the red squirl turned around and saw Jasmine watching them. Instantly he seemed to be offended as the little creature took off, the gray squirl instantly following the other's lead, no longer bothering to bicker. See, it was just a way of having fun. Smiling once again Jasmine steadied herself, a sudden realisation hitting her like it had not done before. She was by herself. She had no one to talk to, no one to watch or no one to keep her busy. Now that was a complete bore, sighing the active young woman looked around for a while. This place truely spoke of epic battles, the mere vibe it gave off was enough to make shivers run down Jasmine's spine and run away, if she had given the view any attention. Usually Jasmine would have, however she had taken in the beauty of the fields earlier and it no longer seemed to affect her, no matter how much she wanted to be struck by awe again just to have something to do. Her small fingers tugged onto the hem of her dress for a while, bored and having not a clue of what she could go and do at the moment. The squirls had left and it did not seem like many visited this place every single day. Jasmine sighed before letting herself go on her knees before seating herself on the ground, not caring about dirtying her dress or anything else for that matter. Since she had nothing to do she could wait for someone to pass by and start talking? Or maybe that other person would start talking... she had no idea. And instead of waiting Jasmine decided to wait whilst lying, looking up at the clouds playing her all time favorite game. Recognizing shapes in the clouds. [/ul][/blockquote]

Lyanne smiled as she headed out of the woods and towards Aslan's How. The battle grounds would be an excellent place for her to think and practice since she had been neglecting her crossbow for quite some time. She felt the familiar weight on her arm and continued to make her way through the woods noticing the clearing just ahead.
As she reached the outskirts she stopped a moment to look around making sure no one would be around. Her blue eyes beheld the ground and a small pang of guilt was felt for she had not been here the last time she was needed but this mistake she would not be making twice. his time she'd be here when the war began and would fight on till the bitter end that she was quite sure of.
Not noticing anyone around she walked forward her dark boots a bit dirty from the walk. Her dark hair she had pulled back and away from her face. It need not be in the way while she practiced her target and range skills. Lyanne searched once more for a decent place in which to shoot a few bolts that wouldn't hurt neither creature nor tree. You see these trees where alive and it would not help her cause to shoot them at any time.
She squinted slightly and noticed that far in the distance some targets where on the ground. She smiled and started making her way towards them when her boot bumped someone who seemed to be laying on the ground. She gave the blond girl and odd look before tilting her head and speaking... " You know laying on the ground in Aslan's How is not a good idea when the archers usually come here for practice."

sometimes we rush it sometimes we fall For a while Jasmine closed her eyes, taking a deep breath and letting her own mind come to peace with itself, soothing herself as she did so. She was rather caught up in thoughts as she opened her eyes again, searching for any figures she could see in the perfectly white clouds. She loved this place, for the clouds were bright and the sky was an intense blue, it looked so much alike magic, so perfect and peaceful. However, Jasmine knew about the bloody history it held, a history of terror and pain. Many of the Narnians had been hurt in their hearts by the White Witch as she had constantly let winter be present, let snowflocks fall down in grace. And she would have continued paining them had she not been defeated by four Humans, two daughters of Eve and two sons of Adam. Four rulers of Narnia that had suddenly disappeared. Yes, she had actually paid attention to her History Professor one day. Amazing! Wasn't it? After all, it was rarely so that Jasmine was ever interested in anything, and she was in the least bit not interested in History yet due to the many deaths the epic battles that had been held here Jasmine had figured out the least she could do was give them some respect, and so she had done by listening. Yes, she had been quiet, eyes big and amazed as she had listened to her boring Professor. And so she had found out that by actually listening she did better during the Professor's their lectures, however... not that that kept her from not listening. She loved being the pain-in-the-ass for these old men. After all... they needed some fun in their lives, right? And scolding and being mad at Jasmine was the perfect idea of fun to them. So they should be thanking her for not paying attention and being one irritating young woman, however instead they told her father. Such a shame. Closing her eyes once again, since the clouds were not inspirating young Jasmine at the moment, until she was startled by a sudden kick against her ribs. Ouch! That had hurt! Opening her eyes instantly Jasmine first noticed the boots, made out of a strong fabric and that had been, most likely, the cause of Jasmine's aching ribs. Next she looked up, noting the woman. However, it did not take Jasmine long to note the crossbow held by the woman. She was an archer? How fun! Jasmine listened to what the woman had to say and as could be expected instantly forgot about it, her own questions being more urging than listening to the woman. "Are you an Archer?" Jasmine asked, a small hint of awe present in her tone. [/ul][/blockquote]

She noticed the girl yelp slightly but chose to ignore her with a slight smirk. it was her own fault for being there in the first place. Lyanne watched the girl quite intently.. she was blond and with wide blue eyes ... she had to be around her sister's age which made her frown slightly. The girl seemed to be in her own world unlike the rest of the people she had met recently in Narnia.
"Are you an archer?" she heard her ask in a wide eyes way making Lyanne look back to her crossbow before giving the girl a slight nod. "I practice archery but that is not really my profession." she watched her intently. She seemed ffar to innocnt to even be there. She noticed her clothes and looks and assumed that the girl was not from around these parts.
"Are you new to this land miss?" she asked her still standing straight with a serious lilt to her voice. Lyanne looked up momentarily just to asses the situation. For today practice would have to wait since she would not risk hurting an innocent girl. "And what brings you out here of all places."
She really was curious as to why such a young girl would be int he old battle grounds on her own. Clearly unarmed and clearly not from these parts at least that what she assumed from looking at her. She stood there waiting patiently for the younger girl to answer her inquiry.

sometimes we rush it sometimes we fall Jasmine nodded as the woman confirmed Jasmine's question. Great! She had always wanted to meet one, they were important when it came down to tactic in battles, well, that's what her Professor had told her. Man, this was annoying! How could she remember so much from her classes when she actually never followed them? She ditched them many times. She wanted to sigh yet restrained herself from doing so, it would not seem very ladylike in front of this archer, woman, whomever she was. "What is your profession then, if I may be free to question" Jasmine asked, curiously yet somewhat cautiously, expecting another kick soon. Why she did not know but she did either way. She looked up at the woman, only now realizing she had still been seated on the dirty ground. Lifting herself from the ground, Jasmine steadied herself as she dusted off her dress in the meantime listening to the lady speak. Was Jasmine new to these parts? Well, she could not speak the truth if she said she came here often but yes, she was from Narnia and had grown up in Narnia. So yes, she would be speaking the truth if she dare say she was from around these parts. Her heritage however lay in Archenland. She was a Northerner, yet had been born and raised in Narnia. Always on her father's secluded grounds however as she had only recently gotten 'permission' to go further into Narnia than before. Not that she had needed permission in the first place for as a child she had tended to sneak out of her home and enter Narnia, no matter how dangerous it could have been. "Must you mean if I'm new to these parts, yes I am M'lady, must you mean if I'm new to Narnia I must admit I have been raised in the fair land named so" Jasmine spoke, it was riddle talk, in her opinion, yet she thought of it to be fitted for this occasion. After all, she was talking to what seemed to be another lady, she could not quite tell. Jasmine was satisfied with herself, for once her riddle talk seemed to make sense, well it did to her yet she could never be sure enough. Maybe it did not make any sense at all to the other woman. Jasmine was rather anxious to see if the lady had gotten anything of what Jasmine had just said. Jasmine tended to have trouble understanding what she called riddle talk, talk spoken by the higher ranks and of course, the talk her sister seemed to adress everyone with. Jasmine might have looked young, she was sixteen and would by no means appreciate it if the woman would have called her young, seeing herself as a grown-up like any other regular teenager would. Though yes, she could defiantly be considered young she would be offended if people actually told her she was out loud. Jasmine smiled as the woman asked her what she came to do here. "I was looking for some mere company, my experience with Narnia has been rather new due to certain... boundries" Jasmine answered truthfully, not sure she wanted to talk about her father setting up several parts and telling her where she could or could not go. Now that she could go anywhere she wanted, Jasmine had been fond of exploring. [/ul][/blockquote]

She was quite taken a back by the question and looked at her innocent eyes as she pondered it quite a bit. "In all honest truth I fear I do NOT have a certain profession seeing my father, Ramandu is the leader or should I say Lord of the Island that bears his name therefor I am not allowed up to a certain point not think or even want to act like a mere commoner even if I so would wish it." as Lyanne finished speaking and took a slight breath. Her tone at the time seemed rather hard and rehearsed though it was not intentional but merely automatic.
Her attention remained on the blond on the ground and Lyanne held back the urge to giggle as the girl seemed to have noticed for the first time that she had been sitting on filthy ground. She watched her loose a bit of balance but regain it quickly while taking it in stride. As she spoke she noted that this young lady was a definite noble and as such should be treated differently up to a point. "Forgiv my words dear lady but you do not look like most of the narnias Ive met..." she stated still watching the girl who stood between her and the archery practice fields.
Her eyebrow arched as she heard her speak about new boundaries. She smiled a bit and in a way empathized with her... "Boundaries... so you have never been to Aslan's How before then?" she wondered if it was that her family would not permit her to do so or that she had merely escaped from her confines for the day ignoring the small fact that there was a war brewing around these parts and soon all that they held dear would be lost.

sometimes we rush it sometimes we fall Noble? Yes. Acted like one? Definately not. Jasmine had never liked the way her relatives held the tendency of looking down upon those 'less' than them and usually would be the Conners that would address a servant with "M'lady" or "Lord." Whatever she seemed fit. She believed that all should be treated equally. For a rather dumb girl she certainly held her beliefs and hopes in the right place. There would not be even a hint of doubt had Lyanne questioned her about what side she was supporting. She would have told the truth, believing in the possability they would win with confidence, trust and even a tad bit of hope. There would be no fear, no doubt, no sound of even hesitating present. Foolish, idiotic and even a bit impulsive would have been a way to describe her choice, for she never quite seemed to think things through. Jasmine smiled as the lady introduced herself through responding the question Jasmine had asked earlier. Obviously, Jasmine had guessed right. She should have talked properly, riddle talk, in front of her like she had done instead of behaving like another normal commoner. Though Jasmine would not have minded talking like the common folk she was not quite sure the woman would have understood her had she done so. Plus, it would have been more proper to address the daughter of the Lord of the Islands with the language of formality. Now, if only she had been in the presence of one of her Professors now, she could certainly use them whilst thinking of this riddle talk. How to reply? Well, she could just stick to nodding and so she did, nodding with obvious respect, it showed it was a reply. She had never quite been the master at this riddle speak, her sister however... Oh, hush. Her sister was not here now so Jasmine needed to quit thinking of her relative, her elder sister. Smiling rather silly as a lock of hers fell before his eyes, Jasmine was quick to push it back and tuck it behind her ear yet again. It seemed to be common for the blond, her hair was wild... in a certain way. Though it looked straight it always, but then again always found away to irritate her and most of the times it was by blocking her precious view. Jasmine loved the land named Narnia, it was so beautiful, so stunning, so amazing, so... lovely. Yet being new to the wonders and beauties of the land Jasmine was still ignorant of a possible war taking place and might be the cause for her losing what she had just won. Yes, none had been so kind to inform her of the current state Narnia was in. Jasmine smiled, sympathly, as the lady told her she was not like any other Narnian. "May I inform you that I am one proud Northerner, originally from the pretty Archenland" Jasmine spoke, maybe this could enlighten the woman of the fact why Jasmine did not seem like any other Narnian, since maybe she did not know many Northerners? Jasmine had no clue. Yet, it seemed only polite to find an excuse as to why she may have seemed different of anybody else. Or maybe it was her behaviour that was strange to the fair maiden? Jasmine was clueless, though she was ignorant. She had never been informed of anything, not by her family, not by friends and not even by her Professors, who were too busy educating her about the old ways instead of informing her of anything important. "Oh, M'lady, I have never even taken in this gorgeous sight before" Jasmine responded, truthfully, however staying away from why she had not seen much of the whole of Narnia just yet. Lyanne arched an eyebrow and looked at her. Archenland... that does explain quite a bit she thought and nodded. "That would explain why I believed m'lady not from around these parts... I find it rare indeed that you have not seen this lovely and sorrow filled landscape before... it's breathtakingly peaceful and a the same time spilled with the blood of our friends and neighbors"
Taking another glance at the girl she tilted her head and noticed she was unarmed or at least that was her impression. She looked her over again before asking. "Miss... are you in actuality unarmed?" this was a sure sign, at least to Lyanne, that this girl had not been informed of anything and therefore was out here risking her life unknowingly. "In these troubled times that are upon us it is never good to go off gallivanting around without any means of personal protection." she felt as though she was slightly scolding the girl but in actuality it was a mere warning for her that she should, once again, not be caught out here by herself.
She felt the slight weight f her crossbow in her arm. Lyanne glanced at it temporarily before raising her arm and undoing the straps that held it in place. She then placed the weapon carefully on the ground and took off her leather gloves slowly. The sun was starting to get a bit hot and her hands felt sweaty to the touch, a feeling Lyanne did not like at all.
She shook her hands a bit and then placed the gloves on her back pocket in an almost ceremonial fashion. She looked over at a few trees an then back at the girl. "Should we remain here in the blistering sun or should we move elsewhere?" she asked gesturing towards the trees that we're close by.

sometimes we rush it sometimes we fall And yet again Lyanne seemed to push the subject of her not having had such freedom, making her remind the stern face of her father. Making her remember him telling a younger version of her where she could go and where not, and when she had not obeyed how the territory she had been allowed to be on had even lessened. Yes, she had hated her father for that, and still did though. Deciding that if she did not tell Lyanne why she had not been able to enter the beautiful lands of Narnia before the woman would not stop bothering her about it, even if it had not been meant to bother Jasmine. "I find myself adoring the landscape more as the clock ticks by" Jasmine started, a rather proud smile plastered on her face as she had yet again mastered the riddle talk. The one reason for which I have not been permitted to adore it before, was for I have been raised with few freedom" Jasmine smiled, there... that was all she needed to know, all really. And for the rest, well Lyanne would just have to leave her alone or not at all. Jasmine would not dare lying to anybody else, unless duty called upon lying, however this woman would not be the creator of duty calling to Jasmine to lie. And Jasmine would not lie. Her pacific eyes stayed upon the woman as she folded her hands, soon letting her eyes glance at her own hands, flinching a bit at the sight of the dirt on them. Rubbing one hand against the other, Jasmine was set to get it off not wanting to look like any commoner, especially not in front of Lyanne, since that would give the Conners a bad name, right? Jasmine looked back up however, shock written across her features as the Milady had asked her if she had been unharmed. "Why yes, Milady. What reason would there be for harm?" Jasmine asked curiously, showing she did not know anything of the state Narnia was currently in, and showing just how dumb... or uninformed she was. Her clueless eyes strayed back upon the fair lady, as if expecting an explanation. Jasmine however, could still not believe she would need a weapon of any kind for walking around in Narnia. It could not honestly be this dangerous, right? It was just, this was Narnia... this was the land that held restored peace, right? Then how could anything bad be happening to it? She could not, or would not, understand and she looked at Lyanne with such curious yet shocked eyes. Jasmine watched Lyanne place the crossbow on the ground, the very thing Jasmine's had been sitting on minutes ago. How unladylike of her... and to be caught by a daughter of a Lord! How would she ever be able to forgive herself? It was such a shame to her. Jasmine might be a rather unintelligent girl she did catch on as Lyanne glanced to wards the trees not far away. "It would be pleasant could we move elsewhere" Jasmine said, not wanting to make the woman ask to move elsewhere and instantly agreeing to the lady's wishes. Smiling at the other lady Jasmine started walking slowly to the trees. "Might I have a change of finding out your name, Milady?" asked Jasmine. [/ul][/blockquote]
