PETER;Dear my brother Peter,
I'm sorry for not being around Cair Parvel latley. I have been busy training, and settling a problem with a woman I met. You even know the person. It's Lady Lyanne. I met her one day at Cair Parvel, and I sort of fell in love with her. Then I kissed her. I understand that you think she is lying to me, but she isn't. I have stong feelings for her, but I know she acually loves you. This all may be a little much to take in. I disire that you will want to meet up with me when I return. Untill then stay safe dearest brother.
Sincerely, Edmund
Peter was not insensible, but Susan certainly took the cake for that portion of their families personalities. Peter was the one governed by his feelings, sometimes by reason. In his hand, crumpled into a ball in the center of his fist, was a letter he kept smoothing out and reading over again. Peter paced in front of Edmund's bedroom, knowing full well his brother had returned, the coward. But he was trying to soothe himself, to retain some shred of dignity as he faced his brother.
Edmund had, quite possibly, destroyed the budding friendship, and whatever else there had been, with Lyanne. Peter was currently torn with betrayal, fury, and a good deal of anquish. But all was not lost. If his temper had not driven her away, perhaps there would be time, time to repair.
He exhaled shortly, looking around wildly for something to focus on. How could his brother have behaved so rashly? Peter felt as though his affections had been made known... though sometimes he did question how public they had been before Edmund. But that was no excuse. His brother was in love with her, was convinced she felt for him, and Peter... well, Peter didn't know what to think anymore. Everything was falling apart before his very eyes.
He marched up to Edmund's door, banging on it twice with the paper filled fist. "Edmund." He said, his voice low, like a snarl in the depths of his throat. "Open up."

Edmund lay flat on the top of his comforable bed. He gazed at the mural on the ceiling. It was a vivid scene of his coranation from so long ago. He looked at the old picture of himself. He looked like....such a child. Thats when he heard foot steps. Its just the staff he told his self. But then the person stoped in front of his door.
Edmund got up slowly and reached over to the desk where his sword was. Grabbing the sheath, he crept over to the door. Then what sounded like an angry voice to Edmund, said "Edmund open up." Edmund put his hand on the handle and opened the door with his eyes half closed.
Not sure who it was Edmund kicked the person just above the qroin. Then he put his sword againts the persons neck. Then he noticed it was Peter, his BROTHER Peter. Edmund couldnt belive he had just done that. So he reached a hand out for Peter to grab so that he could get up off the ground.

PETER; The door swung open in an instant, and not only did it just barely miss Peter's face, but he was greeted with a swift kick south. Peter had taken quite a few hits in battle, but none had ever jumped on him like this. He fell to the ground, his face distorted with pain, and glared up at his brother. "Are you MAD?" He snarled furiously, clenching his knees with agony.
As a result, a sword was waved in his face, and Peter's eyebrows leapt up. Edmund had been much better prepared for his arrival then Peter had given him credit for. Edmund, upon realizing who it was, offered a hand, but Peter stared at it coldly and pushed himself up instead, still grimacing and seeing stars.
He couldn't help himself, and his voice returned to a dark growl as he spoke again. "What on earth was that?" Peter straightened his back, blinking at his brother, not yet entering his room. His legs moved together slightly, in case Edmund had second thoughts.

Edmund pulled his hand back when he noted that Peter was not going to use it to get up. He knew could sence Peters anger coming off of him in waves of fury. So he replied to his brother sincerely with, "I am so sorry Peter. I didnt know it was you. You sounded differant... I would never have done that if I knew it was you. But you have to admit I'm getting better at fighting", he ended with a smile.

PETER; Peter wasn't in the mood for games. He had banned one of his best friends from Cair Paravel because his brother had snogged her, enraged with preteen hormones, and then scampered off. He grabbed his brother's shirt, and while Peter was certainly not the angriest he had ever been, he was a sight.
"What happened with you and Lyanne? Tell me now, or I swear..." Peter said sharply, staring his brother down as he started to back him up into the room. His eyes never left Edmund's, but he did check for others in the corner of them. "You... you actually kissed her?"

Edmunds smile turned to a look of hatred when Peter grabbed him by the shirt. He threw his sword up in an arc over Peter into his other hand. He then put it slightly against Peter's neck. Ready to defend himself from his brother. He then said, "If you would like to have a word with me then you can let go of my shirt and I can put down my sword and we can be civilized, as we sit down and TALK."

PETER; "I don't talk to people like you, Edmund." Peter snarled in return, but did in fact let go of his shirt, possibly because a sword was being waved in his face. He doubted Edmund would really kill his brother, but he disliked having it so close, as anything could happen. "This wouldn't be the first time you betrayed me, and traitors don't recieve special treatment." Peter said somewhat brutally, slamming the bedroom door shut as he stared at his brother.
"Answer me. What happened?"

Peter let go of Edmund's shirt. But then Peter went there...to the place that truly hurt Edmund. Edmunds heart filled with pain and fury, and the next thing he knew he was punching Peter upside the face, "DONT YOU EVER BRING THAT UP! OR USE IT AGAINST ME! I KNOW I MADE A MISTAKE LONG AGO! DONT YOU THINK I PAY FOR IT INSIDE EVERY DAY OF MY LIFE?!?!? ASLAN FORGAVE ME BUT YET YOU CANT NOT ENTIRELY ANYWAYS!", the angry king said.

PETER; "So you decided to try to make it better between us by kissing Lyanne?" Peter growled, holding the side of his head in pain. He refused to drop the topic, to let Edmund change it to that day. Of course Peter had forgiven him for the most part, but he couldn't help but bring it up. He had been betrayed twice by his brother, traitorously thrown to the wolves by someone he loved, whose bloodines matched his.
"Do you even understand what you have done?" He demanded, and before he knew it, Peter was shoving Edmund backwards, raising his fists as preparation to the storm he felt would follow. "You've ruined everything, and as a result I've ruined everything!"

Edmund was slightly satisfied with the pain his brother was in. He listened to the pathetic excuse for a brother he had. Then with anger fueling his word Edmund said, "RUINED EVERTHING? I RUINED EVERYTHING BY FOLLOWING MY HEART WHICH IS MORE THAN YOU COULD SAY. AT LEAST I SHOW AFFECTION. I DONT KNOW HOW I KNOW IT BUT I LOVE LYANNE, I DONT JUST LIKE HER, OR HAVE A CRUSH ON HER I LOVE HER. SO YES I KISSED HER! YOUR JUST UPSET BECAUSE YOU WERE TOO FOOLISH TO LET YOUR HEART GUIDE YOUR ACTIONS!", Edmund took a deep breath still fuming with anger.

PETER; Peter let his brother rant, and, midway through, broke the torment of words with a sharp and bitter laugh. "Love? What does a boy like you know of love? And how on earth could you feel it for someone you barely know? I've known her for longer then you have, and I don't call my interest love like some schoolboy." Peter responded, trying to sound more grown up to make up for his behavior. "Your idea of love is the the equivilant of my idea of lust. You're just trying to ruin what I have going for me, and you have. Are you satisfied? Lyanne will never speak to me again, never come back to Cair Paravel because I ordered her to, thinking she lied. We both lose, Edmund. Are you happy now?!"

Edmund couldnt help himself. He threw his sword to the side and dived at Peter's legs, sending him backwards into the wooded door, which broke upon impact. "Who are you trying to act like? Father? Mum, because you would be better at trying to act like mum for the shere reason that you are more of a woman then a man. You dont get it, and neither do I, but I can honestly say that I LOVE LYANNE!", the slightly smaller king said.

PETER; The door broke as Edmund dived at him, and Peter grimaced from the sudden slam of the door against his back. Something cracked slightly from within him, audible even over the fuss, and Peter knew in that instant he had probably fractured something. But he had fought with worse wounds, and he wasn't going to let his little brother beat him.
Peter's fist rose up into Edmund's face, attaching to his nose. "So much for your wanting to talk reasonably." Peter mumbled slightly, trying to shove his brother off of him as another hand went to his back, holding it in pain.
His voice went suddenly, sickeningly quiet. "You may love her Edmund, but who does she love?" He wasn't implying to himself as much as he was trying to force his brother to realize that the love was onesided, but Peter realized the moment he said it that Edmund might take it the other way. At this point, with a fractured rib and wounded.... southern parts, he didn't really care.

Edmund knew he had gone too far. He could tell that he had hurt Peter more than he should have. He regreted it for a moment untill somthing hit him in the nose. White hot pain filled his nose and the surrounding face. He knew automaticly that it was broken. Yet he knew he deserved it. Then Peter said, "You may love her Edmund, but who does she love?" Edmund then let lose once again. He hit Peter on the side of the face once more then hit the other side and continued this untill he lost count around 6 times. He then muttered, "Your a bloody idiot who disgusts me. Yet I disgust myself even more because at one time I had respect for you..."

PETER; Edmund pounded him, during which time Peter struggled below his brother's weight. Finally he managed to shove the other boy off, glaring down at him as he sat with his chest heaving. Edmund spat more words at him, but Peter was confident enough in his earlier reply to grin at him instead. "Thank you for that, dear brother. But I don't need the respect of some cad who puts on a crown and fancies himself a King."
